Open thread for photos [pix photographs]

Post by JR8 » Sun, 05 Jun 2016 4:22 am

We had one, I can't find it. Just came upon a pic earlier I took a while ago....

Amerasian rickshaw driver - Saigon 1989. His father had been an American GI; he was waiting his turn to get out [UN Amerasian relo programme]. Meanwhile he remained a x-racial pariah in his own country. Here, in front of the former US Embassy in Saigon. I wonder what came of him... he was built like an American football player.... and as still a kid was so full of hope about getting away.

Oh just pix man ;)
We had a pix thread earlier, just couldn't find it. Thought it might be of passing interest to some others... that's all...
Thought it interesting how things have changed in Asia. That pic was only c25 years ago. Now Saigon is a destination for long weekenders rather than a closed communist state. Amazing how slow but fast these things change.... mebbe [pass me that wll'ya man]

We had a pix thread. It was interesting. Just post what you like, from wherever. Like the music topic, compare, contrast, share, etc...
