Dependant Pass for Son

Hypothetical question if we want to apply for a dependant pass for our 4-yr old son.

Let's say my wife and I work in different companies, and both of us have our own Employment Pass. Let's say my salary is 4700 SGD, while her salary is 4200 SGD. According to the MOM's website, the minimum salary to apply for a dependant pass is 5000 SGD.

Will they consider the sum of our salary (4700 + 4200 SGD), or just take a look at the bigger one?
