Dear all,
Since my passport was about to expire, I had to get a new one. It obviously came with a new passport number. I notified MOM by filling out the respective form and uploaded it via iSubmit. After the submit I got the confirmation email that they received my stuff. At the end of that mail it says "We will process your request by 29 Apr 2016. We will contact you if a longer time or additional information is required."
So far, I haven't heard anything from MOM. Does that mean that my request has been successfully processed. Naive as I am, I would have expected some kind of notification mail. I just want to avoid any hassle when I need to travel overseas

.
Thanks!

I had to do something similar recently and also did not receive any notification that the new passport had been processed. I think worst case if you try and use the automated entry/exit gates you'll get referred to a counter and have to show your EP Card as well as the passport. In my case I'm a dual national and was swapping from my UK passport to my NZ one as the UK one was going to be gone for 6-8 weeks for renewal. So in my case I had to get a new EP Card as well which I was notified about but that was a week or so after going in and out of Singapore a couple of times on the updated NZ passport.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah, I read somewhere in the forum that it should always work when you go to the counter with EP, passport and even with the old one. In any case, I better got bit earlier then usual to the airport

I just renewed mine couple of months ago. That's no problem at all when you try to check out if you will bring your reply letter from mom & your old passport with you. Take it easy:D

When you say reply letter, do you mean the email I got confirming that I have submitted the scanned copies if he form? Because that's the only thing I have right now.

I have done this on 3 passports recently, all three received the automated iSubmit emails.
1. My Daughter, everything worked fine, no update emails from anyone it just worked.
2. My Son, they replied saying they needed more information which I then updated and it went through. I dont recall what and have lost the emails.
3. With mine I received no notification. My auto clearance at Changi was rejected and I had to go through the manual counter. Immigration & Customs stated they did not receive the update from MOM but I could go through with my new passport and EP.
It turns out I filled in the new passport section without ticking the New Passport checkbox. Only when I rang did they inform me of this and I asked if I really needed to resubmit the application given it was obvious on the form that was the request.
They completed the update without re submission, and I had gone through Changi for 3 trips (6 occasions) without any issues from start to finish.

Don't forget to submit new passport to other places where you originally submitted. I had to send new passport scan to my bank. I can't remember why but I think maybe I opened the bank account before I got my EP and they were tracking me via my passport info.

That part is not urgent. Your bank will let you know if/when they'd like your updated passport particulars.

I never updated any info with SCB... opened on an original passport and still use that number today for access to everything... Meanwhile, got an EP number, got a new passport, got PR... I do still keep my address updated online.
Over at UOB I did end up changing my business account to my PR number.

I've already notified my bank (DBS) about my new passport number. I directly went into my normal branch and showed them both passports.
