S Pass Appeal Duration
Re: S Pass Appeal Duration
@sms: My employer has submitted a new application for my S pass on 20th July and on 23rd July, the status change from "pending" to "Pending inputs from vetting agencies. Expected outcome is 2 months from the Date of Application". As of today, the status remain as it is and I started to get worried because my previous S pass application was approved within 2 weeks including weekends but this time round it took longer than that and I wonder why. Since my cert is from UK, I went online and check but it seems like my uni is having it's summer break could this be the issue in the delay of vetting status?

Re: S Pass Appeal Duration
Nobody here will be able to say, why is it still pending. In general EP and S Pass Applications are taking longer to be processed in the last few months. As MOM has clearly mentioned upto 2 months will be needed for vetting, you should wait for the time-frame specified. There will be no other choice other than that.boafan wrote:@sms: My employer has submitted a new application for my S pass on 20th July and on 23rd July, the status change from "pending" to "Pending inputs from vetting agencies. Re: S Pass Appeal Duration
If not the length of a piece of string, usually 3 days to 3 months. There isn't an average.

Re: S Pass Appeal Duration
It could take six months... or a year. It depends on several factors. For example, it depends on whether your employment history and academic credentials are real or fake or embellished. If MoM has any concerns they will look at you very carefully.Neethu wrote:This is the third month starting .

It depends upon how quickly your academic institutions respond to inquiries about your credentials, and how long your previous employers take to respond. If your academic institutions are considered dodgy, MoM will want lots of details.
Maybe the company that has applied for your S-Pass has pissed off MoM by violating the rules. They are being punished by having their pass applications help up or put under extra scrutiny.
And, while there is no hard evidence to support this, maybe MoM puts your application in a stack and lets it sit... it's the easiest way to control the number of S-Passes handed out... don't process them and there are less S-Passes.
Bottom line: Nobody knows. You can only wait and make a plan B in case you are rejected.

Re: S Pass Appeal Duration
As a employee, no use in contacting MOM. MOM will respond only to Employers in the case of application/appeals.Neethu wrote:Hi all
