And Microsoft is actively pushing Skype to corporate clients .. While ignoring the non commercial users...

Now they have two versions of Skype, free Skype for Business and Skype. One can't talk to another..

They can talk to each other. What you can't do is share contacts... you must re-invite people from personal Skype to Skype for Biz.

Skype for Biz is rebranded Lync... good integration with Outlook and SharePoint... but you need Office 365 to use it.

I agree, though... Microsoft has totally buggered personal Skype... they think they are turning it into the next WhatsApp while completely screwing over the business community the (used to) use them.

Contacts don't get imported properly to the new version and accounts with credits are either removed or become inaccessible. These are my recent findings regarding the improvements this shitty company (microsoft) introduced to the earlier good product.

But there is also something amazing the microsoft "engineers" managed to achieve. The new improved microsoft skype for Linux is able to freeze it without leaving any traces in the log files. I have no idea how this is possible at all and don't recall anything else capable of doing it.
