Woodlands to JB?

Post by auschick » Wed, 27 Apr 2016 6:37 pm

Hi all

Planning to take the MRT to Woodlands, and then a shuttle to JB Sentral.

I can't book the shuttle for my preferred time on the way back, so I wondered if it is possible to pick up a taxi in JB that will take me back to the JB-Singapore checkpoint. From there, I'll take the MRT from Woodlands back home - is it far from the checkpoint to the MRT? I realise I can take a bus but planning on doing some shopping so thought a taxi might be easier...

Thanks!

The checkpoint to the nearest MRT (probably 50/50 as to whether that is Woodlands or Marsiling) is a fair distance but you can catch buses directly from checkpoint after you've cleared immigration and customs. The route numbers are 160, 170, 950 and 170X, bus 950 stops at both Marsiling and Woodlands MRT.

Much better route: drop off at Kranji MRT and take 170 to JB. Same thing going back. :)

or 160 from Jurong Bus interchange.
To get there early is on time and showing up on time is late
