That you are Indian comes to mind.
Moreover, are you from the north or south of India ?

If the current economic climate for your industry is anything to go by , you may be sweating on a PR renewal when your next one comes.
Such is the speed of movement in the modern world.

You're too old. Technically only 7.5 years of working life left. Sucks.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or
http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Correct. I've already passed it before they changed it, so my boss said I have to keep working.

They give about 30k PRs and 30K citizenships each year. There are 100s of 1000s of people lining up, especially from across the border. Many of them are spouses and kids of Singaporeans. So they have a huge pool to pick and choose from. In that pool you probably dont figure, high enough. As simple as that.

Don't forget that the rumour mill is going over time in that since the last few years ago, the identity of Indians has been diluted, it seems. So the focus supposedly is to fill the 'correct' Indians, if and when a slot opens up. Again, rumors they are .. but they do quote The late MM Lee's words to that effect

It depends on the OP's birth date.

Did you have any grassroot leader endorsement to show that you are active in the community ? If not then try doing some community work before applying the next time. It can influence your application.

maybe valleyman has been sleeping like Rip Van Winkle since 2008, only waking up to pee occasionally. He's missed the 2011 & 2015 GE so is completely out of the loop.
For the record valleyman, volunteerism no longer works. It's been abused to death by subcontinentals that ICA may well even deduct points for it as so many stopped contributing as soon as they got what they wanted.
