Not sure what the significance of all this is, but the first thing that struck this Yank is the latter is the year Christopher Columbus landed in what is today, Plymouth, Mass. and the former was the year we kicked yer arse out and declared our independence from Britain.

My card is going to expire next month, it is 5 years old. Do they still replace it for free and transfer the amount to the new card? I need to then re enroll it for Auto top up from my credit card. What a pain. Why does a card have to expire every 5 years?
