Open the file in acrobat reader, open the menu, open send file, and you will see the bluetooth in the list.chickenessence wrote:Hi,
anyone know how can we transfer a file, lets say pdf from andriod phone to ipad without a computer, without using internet data (wifi or mobile data.)
Is there any way to transfer the file using offline method like using bluetooth?
Thanks.
Caveat, it's not always Android likes to talk to iPad/iPhone.x9200 wrote:Open the file in acrobat reader, open the menu, open send file, and you will see the bluetooth in the list.chickenessence wrote:Hi,

Later follow the instruction on both of the devices.
Tried. But don't seem to work.x9200 wrote:Open the file in acrobat reader, open the menu, open send file, and you will see the bluetooth in the list.chickenessence wrote:Hi,

Hi, imagine that you are travelling but have no or limited data.taxico wrote:why not just install dropbox...!
Actually I thought I said apple didn't like non iOS devices to connect via Bluetooth. Should have added, they hate each other when sending files across. Music, mouse and key board works fine.nakatago wrote: The caveat is, the receiving device should also support Bluetooth file sharing. From what I gather iOS (and by extension, iPads) won't let you do this, contrary to what squirrel said. It's how Apple likes to allow only certain things on their devices. I don't have access to an iPad right so I can't verify.

Possibly; I wanted to say before that iOS doesn't allow it but you said you've done it and couldn't check for myself.x9200 wrote:Have to check, but I think it was before the visual upgrade I checked last time so already some time ago. Possible, jailbreak has something to do with it?
IIRC, bluetooth has several profiles/layers/stacks for human machine interface devices, for music and for file transfer.ecureilx wrote:Actually I thought I said apple didn't like non iOS devices to connect via Bluetooth. One way to find out is to disconnect your router from your phone/cable/fiber line. The router will still have your wifi up but it's not connected to the outside world.chickenessence wrote:my iOS version is 9.3.1 which is the latest version i believe.
Sharing using bluetooth in Acrobat reader still doesnt work for me.
Someone introduced an apps called Instashare
This apps supposes to be able to transfer file using bluetooth but the bluetooth doesn't seem to work as two devices unable to detect each other.
However the wifi one works but i am not sure whether they are transferring the files through the internet or "offline".
It works as it can transfer file through wifi at my home. (but yet to test when i am outside without any home wifi / internet connection. Unless it can transfer using wifi direct)
I will update again once i have find out.
