Help buying a business

Post by SCgirl » Mon, 04 Apr 2016 1:38 pm

Hello All,

I am interested in buying a business but my time is limited. I need help finding an accountant to help me with a "Due Diligence" before I make an offer. This is happening crazy fast and I need all the help I can get to find someone who offers these services but is from a trusted, well recognized firm. And is well versed in these transactions.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

You need multiple opinions. Happy to help for free. Look for;

1. Price to be a multiple of the actual profit (the multiple can be as low as 1).
2. Any price above needs to be justified and not just "good will" - stock / cash in bank etc all count.
3. IF you're buying an entity you need a credit/debt check. Not sure how to do that.
4. IF seller makes noises that go along the line of "we make a lot more in cash but don't report it" run a mile.
