what i'm looking for is a system that can
1. play my cd's
2. play from a music server
3. play internet radio
4. spotify,last.fm, napster etc..
i found a system that fits all my needs and it was the denon rcd N7 and then it broke and the twats here said they can' repair and you need to chuck it away. i spent 800$ on that.
i still have them speakers so i suppose i could go and buy something like the one below and upgraded version
http://www.whathifi.com/news/denon-ceol ... ew-systems
but having suffered before i'm in two minds.

For the more mature audience, how about Wooly Bully by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs ['65]

Had two big horns and a wooly jaw.
Wooly bully, wooly bully.
Wooly bully, wooly bully, wooly bully.'

Never been. I've been to Cebu which was pretty frenetic (traffic etc) and challenging. I'd have look at Tripadvisor and look at the top rec'd 'things to do', 'places to eat' and so on. I find it a very useful starting point if I'm going somewhere new.
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g298 ... tions.html
p.s. IIRC I've transited through Manilla airport. Worth reading up on how it's laid out, esp. if you're in transit from Intl><Domestic, it's quite a zoo, huge and rather confusing!
Also check-out Lonely Planet: They have quite useful summaries like 'What to do over a weekend', 5 day, a week, 2 weeks etc. Lists all the major stuff worth seeing and doing, and gives you form of prioritised listing to work your way through.

Makati or thereabouts..i see a hard rock café, cab dude tried to rip me off at the airport, wanted 1650 monies to makati, normally that's like 500, I said ok and then when I arrived paid only 1000, we had an argument in broken English lol, horrible hotel pillows though, haven't slept all night and now I have an all day meeting to pull through.

I should have mentioned Uber works amazingly well in the Philippines, especially to and from the airport.

You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or

Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

You might want to look into USB DACs + active bookshelf's like audioengine et al. Your laptop acts as the source and the DAC coverts to analog line out and straight into your active speakers.

Isn't metal music distorted enough that your audio quality can only go high enough? But if we're talking classical or progressive rock or jazz, that's a totally different ball game.

I listen to all sorts of things nowadays.. metal and its variants, electronica, trip hop, rock and all its variants, some old school jazz.
shit i don't like: RnB ( excluding the old school snoop dog, gangsta rap, cypress hill shit), country lol and modern bubblegum pop shit 99.99% of which use Auto Tune
