Re: Random thoughts thread
I've been away for two weeks in Europe a week each in Budapest and in Milan, I have so many things to write about both these places that it could fill a small book.
How has everyone been ?

Oh dear no, perhaps they've changed their uniform. The ones I saw were down at the catherdral, the Duomo. They were in tailored pale/powder-grey trouser suits, with c3" heels and like smaller British police helmets... all colour matched. Well coiffed, some make-up, immaculate... lol.

Haha well I was in a small cafe next to the duomo, ordering a coffee while a male and female police officers walked in to order a coffee, the woman looked like the picture I posted.
In Budapest though the police liked to patrol streets with extremely loud ear splitting sirens. I wonder why though.

My First impressions of Milan : I got off linate airport , got into a fiat taxi lol, and a bald guy who looked like a cross between jean Luc picard and that bald English referee who retired a few years ago, nervous chap he was too, biting his nails as he raced through small winding roads, finally drops me off at a run down motel in the middle of a residential neighborhood, now I'm normally used to an office being located in the cbd or in the vicinity of the cbd, the last thing you'd expect is a hotel and a technology company rubbing shoulders to a suburban residential neighborhood with a dog park, tattooed walls a supermarket and a cafe.

Re: Random thoughts thread
Budapest. There seem to be a lot of economic migrants in Hungary, and Budapest is where a lot of wealthy tourists are, so the police go to great lengths to make their presence known.
I don't know where the CBD in Milan is located, or if there is one. Our office was on that prominent road that runs right down to the Duomo [Via Manzoni or something like that]. We had to be there as wealthy clients expected such convenience 'on their own turf' back then. Gawd knows what rent was, a lot I imagine. If an office hasn't high-end clients visiting, it can located in a cheaper location.
A few years back I missed a connecting flight at Frankfurt, they put us up at a hotel in a business park miles outside of town. Utterly miserable experience.

Re: Random thoughts thread
I'm having trouble figuring out Korean food, its either hit or miss, some of the cuisine i love while others i just plain detest, yesterday i went out with a colleague to a crab place, a plate full of steamed crabs, served with rice stuffed into the crab skulls. the rice was great but the crabs were sweet, it was a great place to eat crabs for people who liked them but i ended up not appreciating it as much as many people would have. oh well.. the experience was nice though.
i'd say Singapore has the right idea with crabs treat them with pepper and chilli and we have a winner.

But then ironically, sites like xhamster, xvideos work in Bangalore, unlike in SG where I need to use vpn. So you win some, you lose some
