What makes any band the best is very much a personal preference isn't it?
What about Nirvana?
Foo Fighters?
Alice in Chains?
My kid might say, "Where's Green Day or RHCP?"
Then, there's your namesake (they just don't know how to spell "Raj," do they?)

You could create a matrix of bands like a list of restaurants you go to. Reliable pedestrian fast-food (Burger King?), or sometimes a regionalised version (Mos Burger, local food court). Something a bit special from home vs everday (TGIF/Tony Romas/Dan Ryans), esoteric technical perfection that merits deeper consideration (the JPnese at Ritz-Carlton, Fat Cow, etc).

Different occasions vs different places perfectly fit the bill. Well, it's the same with music for me...

and today for lunch i took him to that old town coffee place, he ordered a chicken chop with pepper sauce, fries, some veggies etc. and i was eating an assam laksa..once again he made several faces at the menu, squirmed when i told him to try something
freak i just want to cut his head off and drink his blood.
