LTVP for my Wife

Post by Edmlawkoh » Fri, 26 Feb 2016 2:13 pm

Hi guys,

I'm new here. Could I ask few days ago when I login to ICA website to check on my Wife LTVP status it show " Receiving Attention" but today I login again it showing the same status but this time round it also have the FIN number showed.

In the past it doesn't show at all. Is that FIN number stated give a good sight on my application for the LTVP? Please advise me

Thanks

I guess. If they were going to reject they wouldn't go to the trouble of creating a Fin number.

Every application is given a FIN number. It's the way you are tracked in Singapore. It's just like a US social security number. It's forever, successful or not. That way when you are rejected 4 times in 2 years they already know how many times you have applied and the fact that you cannot follow instructions. If you go away and come back two years later and apply for a job, you will find that your FIN number is still the same. The only time a FIN number is changed is when you get PR. At that time your FIN is changed to an NRIC number.

So which mean the application might not have any outcome yet?

All it means is the on line application was looked at and assigned a FIN number for further processing. You will know the results when that is done (either yea or nay). And the letter will have the FIN number on it if it's rejected or approved, either way.

Sigh..... I apply the pre marriage one first and gotten the result yesterday stated it was not successful. Before getting this result I already ROM with my Wife and when we went down to ICA for extension of her visit pass the officer there told me to apply LYVP on the next day.

Now my heart is pumping very fast and scared it will not be approved for her LTVP

But the msf office told me i cant sign up for the course as its not the in principle letter yet... Is there any body saw a case like this before

I thought this is optional ? https://www.rom.gov.sg/resources/rom_marrProgram.asp

And I am not sure what you are asking here. If you don't have the prep course, just say so. Where did you marry ?

You need to present your marriage certificate in person, at ICA.

Oh, that's confusing now.

And what is your reluctance in showing the original documents and DE Card and such to ICA ?
