Help !!!

Post by NickKnackPaddyWhack » Fri, 12 Feb 2016 8:03 pm

Australian Resident relocating to Singapore and have been offered a package of 230k SGD all in. They will pay for relocation (flights, one months accommodation etc) but everything else is covered by me - education, rent, etc . Don't plan to keep a car as I am too mean to spend that money...

I have a wife ( who may work) and two kids aged 7 and 10. We are looking at Avondale Grammar School...

Thanks for your help

Paddy

Have you looked at Tanglin Park? It's a really family-friendly condo and perhaps even the closest condo to Avondale Grammar that you'll find. Three-bedroom apartments there are something like ~130 square meters and have been trending to around 5000-6000 SGD per month recently.

And did you mean if that's good ?

Well, with two school going kids, it maybe a bit tight

But don't forget Singapore's taxes are nothing vs Australia.

Ps, pun intended, you have "a" wife ? That sounds very Asian ... in a country where my wife is .. immigration says "so you have A wife here ?" And I go "yes and it's the only one ... " and I get blank looks in return. ;)
