Business Licences

Post by thecoffeenazi » Thu, 11 Feb 2016 9:43 pm

Hi,

I have read a lot of threads on this forum, but havent been able to find the right answers, so posting them here in the hope that someone might be able to answer these for me:

1. I am setting up a sole proprietorship and want to get into the coffee retail business with a little difference

2. I plan to source coffee beans locally and prepare (manufacture?) cold brew coffee, bottle it and sell it online and via coffee shops or retailers

3. I am aware that I cannot manufacture anything from my home address, but can the same be done via a NEA Approved central kitchen for preparation and bottling?

4. For selling it, do I need a specific license?

5. Can the online shipments happen from home?

Thanks for all the help in advance.

You can google for all the license information.

My question would be: Given that you trip over a coffee house about every 15 feet in Singapore, what is your differentiator that makes your product superior to say... the Coffee Bean, which has heaps of outlets and sells cold brew?

I am still exploring possibilities and planning on doing door step delivery of ready to drink bottles or 1L concentrates for people to make their own drink versions

Well... considering that it seems none of the grocery stores have snapped to the idea of having cold brew in stock, you might be onto something.

The guy on Balestier Road imports coffee beans... you could have a chat with him.
