What kind of employment pass? At which company? For how much salary? Have you seen the IPA letter?

Your brother needs to see the IPA letter, get his FIN number, and confirm that he indeed does an employment pass.

Your brother needs to contact the employer and confirm that he actually has a job at the stated salary.

If you cannot do these things you are almost certainly being scammed.

thanks for your response strong eagle.

yes, he received a copy of IPA letter for S pass 2 years validity and 2400$ as a monthly salary and also i checked the FIN in mom site i could see my brother details.

my worries is because,

I heard that some consultancy may give IPA but later they will say due to some issue company canceled the visa...

will that possible ? or what are things we need to check other than IPA in order to make sure we are not Conned.

Yes, it is possible. The company (or an entity acting for the company) may cancel it at any time at their will (so they can do with your work-pass) - subject to the job contract conditions. There is nothing you can do about it. Having the FIN in the MOM system and IPA is a good sign. How about the company? Has your brother talked to them or this is the/an agency who is going to be his employer? I guess what is critical now, is when he is expected to start the job.

I think I know what you are asking.

1) is the pass approved ? Based on your having seen the IPA, yes.

2) will the pass be issued ? If the candidate fails the medical, it may not be issued, otherwise, no issue I see here.

3) should you pay the agency the agreed charges ? Morally yes, since the pass has been processed and agency has secured an employer. And you agreed to the fees before the agency applied for a pass.

4) will the employer keep the candidate for 2 years ? There is No such guarantee regardless of the employer. Per Singapore law, Any employer can terminate any candidate in one month, one year or any time, with no compensation unless specifically stated in the contract.

So if item 4 is your biggest fear, then don't take up any job in Singapore.

Singapore law makes it pretty easy to terminate anybody with no compensation, again, unless stated in the employment contract.

Most Indian candidates work on agency contracts , contract between agency and candidate, pass applied under end employer where the person will work.

Nothing fishy there.

As for the question whether its a secure job, as I feel that's what you are harping on, I have addressed that in my first post.
