Character Referees?

Post by elle90 » Tue, 09 Feb 2016 10:50 am

Hi guys I need some help.

I'm applying for a job and i need to fill up an application form.

There's a section where they require details of 2 character referees (non-relatives)

Is it ok if i put my friend's name? since she has known me for years or is it mandatory for me put my previous employer's details like my manager?

Character references can generally be either. They would specifically say business/employment references if that is what they wanted.

That said, former bosses are generally going to look better than friends.

hey thanks for ur reply!

the form only states "character references" as the subject head followed by "please provide 2 charactee referees (non-relatives) whom reference can be made"

can i provide my ex-colleague's details (not my manager) and a friend? since they require 2
