Employment Pass | Status | Pending inputs from vetting agencies.

Post by aleemakhund » Thu, 21 Jan 2016 9:35 pm

My Employer has submitted application for Employment Pass.

and the status reflects:

" Pending inputs from vetting agencies, Expected outcome is 2 months from the Date of Application "

how much time does it take? or does it really take 2 months?

It can and often takes a bit longer than that, depending on where you are from and if there seems to be an inordinate amount of fraudulent degrees coming from that country, e.g., places like Myanmar, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India (somewhat), etc. Where a lot of unis are not yet digitalized and record have to be looked up manually and to get them soonest money would have to exchange palms (which the vetting teams will not do - so therefore the unis make them wait). One only has their own countrymen to blame.

To give credit to those Unis, the medical Unis seem to have a faster response time :) Maybe it's part of their protocol ! Unlike those non- medical degrees that need vetting.

Almost certainly the more vetting a degree normally gets the more responsive the Uni should be.... my first Uni (Curtin) in Australia allows anyone with the name to vet a degree online but the latter one (UWA) unfortunately doesn't.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.

Where do you hail from ?

In summary you are upset about a 2 week delay?

Did you convey your thoughts to MOM ?

No, to be honest, just because it took 3 days in other places doesn't mean Singapore must do it in 3 days.

There were others who got the pass approved in 5 days and come renewal time, it took 3 months.

Who knows. Unless you control the vetting agencies, what do you know ?

Who knows, MOMs agency may have sent somebody to your school in Pakistan to do a Mark 1 eyeball inspection. And maybe they want to check if you really did your A levels.

If it is bad, you can always tell your employer to withdraw the application.

Yes, they screw based on the skin color, you should stay in UK, if you find that racist.

Ah, wanna know more ? Rarely do Europeans get subjected to Hiv tests but 9 out of 10, or rather 95% of browns get tested for hiv, and .... in the near post, Asian female students used to "randomly" but regularly get tested for pregnancy.

Welcome to Singapore!!!

Your discrimination complex could possibly become a problem here if you are not careful. You cannot be 200% sure of anything in Singapore if you've never worked here. Might be a good idea to do some reading rather than just griping. Start here, that will tell you where the 1st two weeks went...

Thanks for the link but I don't have any complex issues but just that I am a logical guy so all I am saying here is that they brushing me with same brush where as they should have used some common sense in my case, it's either the guys doing the job can't read beyond the lines or they just don't want to..
