7 Days SVP. Help!

Post by travelgirl » Sun, 17 Jan 2016 1:07 pm

I went to Singapore to look for a job. I was given thirty days upon arrival to Changi, then I exited to JB three weeks after to extend my stay and got another 30 days SVP. 2 weeks before the extension expires, I went to Cambodia for a week and flew home for about two weeks then I flew back to SG again and was given another 30 days.

Last April, I tried to exit to JB again but I was sent to the office they got my thumbprint and was interrogated. I was chopped 7 days visa that says Permitted to enter singapore and remain until ______ (not permitted to work, etc) on my passport. My flight should have been in Indonesia on April 29 (which is what I showed to the ICA officer) but I did not follow that flight because I decided to book another flight back to my home country on May 1, a day before my pass expires.

This February I want to go back to SG again to visit my boyfriend and it is scaring me... My questions are:

1. what were those thumbprints for?
2. Will I get interrogated if I enter SG again?
3. Does not following my original flight (but I never overstayed) will affect my next visit to SG?

This was discussed in detail by a Filipino girl in a similar predicament.

Do look up the thread.

To answer you, it's a maybe or may not be, on your next visit. Single foreign girls galore in Singapore, and not many of them come for job searching.

Where do you hail from ?

If your boyfriend loves you enough, he should accompany you in on your next arrival. That's going to save you a lot of trouble.

Your finger prints were taken so that in case you switch your passport ICA can catch you ... not implying anything but few business girls coming to Singapore, when denied entry, supposedly switch passports.

1.the fingerprints are because you can change your name or identity and try and re-enter singapore and it has happened many times.
2.answer to question 2 is maybe and considering your history its more than likely
3. you didn't overstay, but you did one too many visa runs..
To get there early is on time and showing up on time is late

I am 26, Filipina. My boyfriend is Chinese.

I have been out of Singapore for eight months now, will I still be on the watch list since so much time has passed since the last time I have been there? I am really scared because they might just ban me the next time I go there, but this time I don't plan to stay long anymore.

Lot of warning signs there.

There is no 'reset', like staying out for x months will remove you from the monitoring list, nor is there any proof as to how long they will monitor.

As I said, if your Boyfriend loves you enough, ask him to accompany you in, on your next arrival.

Plus, since you are a Filipina, and your boyfriend is Chinese (chinese local or Chinese from overseas?), Singapore will not give the tinted view they give for European lovers :) That's common knowledge. Asians are expected to uphold the Asian Moral Values !!

Welcome to Singapore !

If you overstay, for few days, fine, and then most likely refused entry on your next arrival.

And having a S Pass pending is not reason to not have a valid visa to be in Singapore. Go out atleast to Malaysia by end of the day, if you can.

You can't extend it at ICA at this time.

Not having a return ticket is not a reason to stay and over stay.

If you haven't been to Malaysia yet, go across and save yourself.

If ICA is not happy with a fine, you will have problem collecting your S Pass, if it is approved.

How do you know your pass will be approved tomorrow ?

Dont take the risk. It is already 5pm. If it is not approved yet, then it will not be approved today. BUT, if you overstay even for 1 minute. That's the end. The record will be there forever. Go stay in batam or malaysia, and keep on checkingnthe status via mom website. Once approved then you can print out the ipa to reenter sg.
