My EP got rejected.Requesting for suggestions!!
Re: My EP got rejected.Requesting for suggestions!!
Doubt it. All they want to know is the fixed monthly income, regardless of its components.

My Fixed component is less now, and others are variable components as per company norms.

Re: My EP got rejected.Requesting for suggestions!!
Was your original statement to the MOM that your fixed component was $7K per month? If so, are you now admitting that the fixed component is actually just $6K? At best you are giving them even more reason to reject, and at worst you are admitting that your original application was false.

Employer is justifying why the candidate is given this salary with revised salary structure. My original application salary and current processing salary are same.
Re: My EP got rejected.Requesting for suggestions!!
They will ask a simple question to which they will expect a simple answer: How much is your fixed monthly salary? The form specifically asks for this and explains that fixed excludes variable. They will ask why have you changed the fixed amount? Which one is true?

Is your salary the same as the one last time you had your EP renewed? (2-3 years ago) ?

Re: My EP got rejected.Requesting for suggestions!!
For reference, according to the Ministry of Manpower total wage compensation (including bonuses) rose an average of 4.9% in 2014 and another 4.0% in 2015. Pay increases penetrated fairly well into lower income quintiles, too. Had your $4,000/month salary merely grown at the same rate as the national average, and for only those two years, you should be receiving $4,364/month now. (The 2016 average increase will likely be in the 2 to 3 percent range since labor markets are not as tight.)
Also, the Ministry of Manpower just announced an increase in the minimum fixed monthly salary to qualify for an Employment Pass, effective January 1, 2017. The minimum is increasing from $3,300 to $3,600 (about +9.1%).
So yes, it's reasonable to conclude you (and your employer) have got a low salary problem if your salary hasn't moved up. The Ministry of Manpower evidently thinks you're being underpaid...or that you're being paid only what you're worth (or even more than you're worth), and that's not valuable enough to keep you in Singapore given the pool of talented resident workers available.
I think you've got the right ideas on how to proceed, assuming your employer wants to try to keep you (and at a more market-oriented price).
What's wrong with an S Pass, by the way? The difference for the worker (you) is that your employer is required to provide at least minimum medical insurance, something that's not a requirement with an EP. Is there any other difference that concerns you?

Re: My EP got rejected.Requesting for suggestions!!

Can you share some links Average salary rose to 4.95% and 4% respectively. Will be easy for me to understand.
Apart, My straight question how much salary I should ask my HR to provide me so my EP can be renewed.
SATS tool showing I am eligiblie for EP/SP in 4.3K while from your above clarification should be around 4.4K. Need to convince my employer a lot for this $100 difference although high chance they will agree as they need me work with them.
Regarding S pass I worried if any 2 local staff same time resigned from my company then quota will be shaken-ed. Otherwise I have no concern.
Pls guide me. thanks!!

So....let me get this straight. If at point of renewing your EP after 2 years, your salary remains stagnant, you got a problem renewing EP ??
Damn.....this country is tough !

Actually if you change jobs, for certain sectors, you may end up with a pay cut ...Siv wrote:So....let me get this straight. If at point of renewing your EP after 2 years, your salary remains stagnant, you got a problem renewing EP ??

You need to tell your boss to award you more than 100$ increment to convince MOM.abhi200211 wrote:Thanks for detailed explanation BBC Watcher.

And from what I know, if the 2 locals resign, MOM won't cancel your permit until It comes up for renewal. Somebody can clarify if that changed.
