Hi, all
I am looking for an advice from parents, my baby is 2 months old. She had two vaccines at birth, but now according to the schedule of vaccines, she needs to get vaccinated almost every month during the first year. What is your opinion/experience on that? I am afraid a baby would get sick , I am also not sure that all vaccines are really needed for a baby. My husband's insurance does not cover vaccines and I wonder why. All in all, I am not really sure if all vaccines are really good for a baby.
Can you also recommend a really good pediatrician at Mount Elizabeth?
Thanks for sharing your ideas/experience. Valentina.

If you are intending to settle in Singapore in the long term, there is a minimum amount of vaccination that is needed for your baby if you want your baby to go to a school or child care centre here. You can refer to the link below.

I do believe that the Singapore schedule of vaccination is good for most and I have ensured that my daughter followed the required vaccination schedule here in Singapore. Aside from a low grade fever after some of the vaccinations, my daughter did not experience any side effect.

you are likely to get charged more for vaccines at a Mt E ped.
if on a budget, shop around. you get peds in the "heartlands" too.
don't be shy to use the polyclinics if the price is right.
shots don't need to be administered by a board certified $pecialist...
p/s: you may want to search on the forum for similar Qs asked by other anxious moms.

Be sure to home school your child so as to not endanger all the other children.
