Virginia Padilla Roble, 64, has been a teacher for most of her life. Apparently, her profession is what helped her to receive generosity from a former student. Roble got hospitalized for a few days in Perpetual Succour Hospital in Cebu City due to a broken forearm. Coincidentally, she was under the care of a former student who is now a surgeon, Dr. Dilbert Monicit.
When she was about to be discharged, instead of hospital bills, Roble registered surprise when she received a prescription note from the nurse's station. The note was signed by Dr. Monicit but instead of his professional fee, the note informed Roble that she has already "paid 22 years ago" by being the surgeon's former favorite teacher.
This note warmed up Roble's heart and considered it an early Christmas gift from her former student. She posted the story on Facebook and it went viral on the social media. Hundreds of comments from all over the globe poured down and claimed that they were inspired with Roble's story.
