Hello! We are moving to Singapore in January from the US, and we are looking for recommendations on good family friendly areas to live. My husband will be working near Seletar airport, so an area that is convenient to transportation as well would be helpful. Our monthly housing budget is around $4500/mo, if that helps for what direction to go. Additionally, if anyone happens to have recommendations for good child care, we would appreciate that as well. The prospect of setting all this up is exciting yet daunting a the same time, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Hi 001x and welcome to the forum,
Have a look at this
http://forum.singaporeexpats.com/viewtopic.php?t=101985 [the 'Where to live' template] and see if any other critical requirements come to mind. Once you've framed up your requirements as best you can, then hopefully you can get the best suggestions back.
'Exciting yet daunting' - yep, it is isn't it? But that's just your mind having entered 'preparation mode'; stressy but I'd be more worried if anyone at your stage wasn't feeling the same
