So I recently bought a game. I think the shop overcharged me and I realised they did not give me a receipt. Do shops have to give receipts?

Yes, they have to unless you object, but even if you get one how are you going to prove you were overcharged and what this actually mean?

By law, anybody who runs a business must issue a receipt.

If GST was included in the price , not issuing a receipt = too many laws broken.
