Are these massage chairs really all that good???

I have serious body part issues particulary in the legs and if they are maybe it could be a goer...

my mum likes the chair, reduce her shoulder pain after hard days work in the kitchen. price is affordable, but service calls - bad.

im comparing them too. i was told (rightly or wrongly) the osims are made in china, whereas ogawa is actually a malaysian re-badging of the japan's fuji medic company's fujiiyore" chairs. ogawa claims a host of firsts but osims marketing strategy has won more clients than ogawa. Osims (singapore company) been around for 25 yrs or so, ogawa (malaysian) six yrs, while fujiiyore 40 yrs.

best to view the websites of each. having tried the top of the range, i prefer ogawa's gentler massage. but osim has this music therapy (a first, accorded invention of the year by time mag) and osim's designs are more pleasing. osim's i-symphony retails at ard 16k compared to ogawa-fujiiyore at 17k (malaysian currency).

if u do have more info on this, please drop me a line at [email protected] or at [email protected].

thanx.

Hi people,

there is another brand in the mkt, under Akira, same features as osim isymphonic but less than $3k although made in china, features quite good, my colleague bought it....for abt 4 mths already, so far so gd...

for myself i using a home spa machine (gd if you have bathtub at home, if not you can buy portable one)...real gd ...effect better than massage chair, 'cos not only do massage, but my mum who has mild stroke has gotten better due to the hydrotherapy effect on her legs...my toddler sensitive skin has also gotten better ...this pdt about $2300 but is portable, can bring home when we leave

Went to try the Ogawa chair ydy. Tried the Smart 2000 and Smart 10. Smart 2000 not auto recline, u hv to recline manually and the massage is too soft for my liking. Smart 10 is much better, campatible to Osim's iMedic but a little bit more noisy. The salesman told me it's Japanese parts assemble in Korea.

Well, the chair may be good but the company really offer very poor after-sale support. I actually bought the chair a few months ago but when i wanted to change the colour of the chair(before they deliver), the salesperson actually said that I can't. And when i ask for the sales manager, he called him who replied that he was having a meeting with the CEO(at 6pm on a Sunday. can you believe it??!!). The sales manager didn't even bother to call me back despite several reminders. Later, I managed to get the CEO but he did not even rectify the problem, his reason being he is very busy. This really shatter my confidence for the company. It is really not worth to buy anything from such a company, especially the products have a relatively long lifespan. Even if they give me a lifelong warranty, frankly speaking i don't think i can place my trust in them anymore. They simply don't care about their consumers' interests.

When you bought it? Where are you bought from? What you brought?
