Botox injection, bad experience

Post by Jessimill » Mon, 23 Nov 2015 12:23 pm

Have you ever tried botox injection? I got botox three times but the two last times were disasters, my face was kind of too swollen then I am looking for another alternative which lessen the deepness of the lines the same way. I am not looking for a magic product but another good alternative.

I couldn't be bother to try it. I figured you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear anyway.

Botox is made from botulinum and has it's roots in weapons research. No way would I inject that into my tissues.

It's just a potent neurotoxin produced by naturally occurring bacteria. Military got interested in it for the obvious reason and I would take it rather as an encouragement than a warning sign - it's probably much better characterized for its effect on humans than if it was done under standard civilian procedures. Many chemicals can be very beneficial at the right concentration and lethal if overdosed. Btulinum toxin is used also in non-cosmetics related treatments.

That's all well and good, but it's a pretty potent toxin (more so than others toxins that humans have a predilection for, like alcohol) and one that is claimed to have caused several deaths.

Looks harmless!

It is harmless. If I calculated it correctly and assuming your weight is ca 70kg you would need the content of 170 of such vials to have a 50% chance to be killed.

On the other hand, eat 1 of these guys commonly occurring across Europe, raw or cooked, doesn't matter and you will need a liver transplant to live.

Haha. So x9200 is a chemist? I bow to your superior knowledge, my liege.

I'd still avoid injecting a toxin for vanity purposes, though.
