Hi everyone,
I experience a horrible landlord. The address in Blk 453 Hougang Ave 10. The landlord don't give me my deposit and he say I spoil his bed blah blah blah although I didn't. The flat has 2 rooms for rent (I rented 1) and I has saw many other tenants move in and out of the other room. The landlord is a bad man.
I want to know if anyone else also experience same thing.
Please help!

The issue of deposits/deductions has been raised several times before. To see what others have experienced and what if anything they have done about it, I suggest as a starting point doing a forum search (above right) on 'landlord deposit LL tenant damage'.

If your rent was say 800 $ and the bed cost 800 $ forget it.
Sad to say, that's all you can do.
If you had any inkling of his behavior, you could have delayed the last month rent in lieu of deposit ...

IME/O as a landlord two wrongs don't make a right, and if it came to court a tenant who with-held his last months rent as you suggest would get slammed by the judge. It is in direct breach of the TA. What ever a tenant might fear, it pays to proceed showing goodwill.

Bide your time. Leave without the deposit. Then issue a claim in the small claims court. Dont threaten anything or call bluff. Just go all the way, and make him pay.
