Credit score and access for foreigners

Hi All,
I'm an Indian national now working out of Malaysia. I am treated like a freelance contractor for a Norwegian company, so it is necessary that my income does not follow a strictly steady pattern. I earn in USD.

While in Malaysia, I tried to apply a car loan but had a lot of trouble because of foreigner status. They also said I had no credit score. I did finally managed to get a personal loan online thru a website called [####sanitised####]. It's more expensive than a car loan, but still better than nothing.

Recently, I accepted a contract that requires me to be based out of SG come Jan 2016 for 2 years. Learning from my experience in Malaysia, I have some pre-emptive questions about foreigner credit score in SG .

1) How easy is it for foreigners to get at least a credit card? From learning, my mistake was not getting a credit card to build my credit history in Malaysia
2) What is a good comparable site like [####sanitised####] in Singapore where I can apply online?

No problems getting a credit card, in fact it was delivered on the day I applied. I opened bank accounts at the same time. This was with Citibank. Just had to show EP and proof of income, IIRC.

Do you mean I can get it even though I have just arrived in Singapore?

How about applying online?

I was in Sg when I applied and could show them an EP. Go online and have a look, but I suspect these days they will want to see proof of residency.
