Which was it? How would they know he was 'taking drugs' in Amsterdam? Was it cannabis? A blood test?ecureilx wrote:MyPaper

I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

So... someone ratted and turned him in... "acting on a tip-off"... the only way they find out about Amsterdam is "interrogation"... real upstanding people. And Singapore pot laws are a joke.

'Hey SGn kids! I know many of you enjoy visiting Amsterdam and getting stoned off your heads there; the allure of the taboo eh? Anyway here's a tip - don't post your pix on Facebook of you down at The Bulldog. Because all it apparently takes is one Frenemy amongst your 25,000 Friends...'

@JR8
I think the fact that most college aged SG kids returning from overseas trips should be cautious, especially know countries where people consume.

Re: Chances of random drug tests for visiting workers
I seen some SGn friends/acquaintances who are professionals and otherwise as straight as an arrow, start acting like kids in a candy-shop if they happen to be visiting Amsterdam. Hence my phrasing 'the allure of the taboo'. Odds on they've never used any drugs ever, nor missed it, but somehow a trip to AMS and it becomes something they want to do.
Curious as for people in Europe such things (where they happen) tend to be a passing phase, part of growing up. Very few people I know past say 20, and veeery few past 30 have any interest in anything like that at all. Most of those with such initial curiosity leave such things behind after say uni, or it's equivalent age.
