Just to update you all that my PR application was rejected today ( just saw it online). In consideration of this new information, I will pursue moving out of Singapore soon. I am certainly not interested in appealing or applying again. I haven't received the letter yet so I can't answer any questions related to the phrase used in the rejection letter. Thank you all for the support and camaraderie here. I truly appreciate it!
Cheers!

It will be Australia for sure...In fact it might happen in just 3-4 months. If I had invested these years in Australia I would be nearing citizenship with PR acheived through ENS after two years at the same employer. I have had a great time here working and living. I could provide a long narrative about how I feel due to this decision and if it is the right bargain for having invested 4 years here versus in Australia but it really comes down to choices. I made the choice to come here and not go to another country... however, it is a new beginning and I am hopeful that the future will be good

I am pleased to let you folks know that I just signed the contract for a CEO role in Australia. Will be moving in February. With the PR refusal, I quickly made up my mind to move on and thankfully there was a great opportunity available that I could seize! All the best to all the PR expectant population here!
Cheers!

i don't think he was working as a regular doctor in singapore though, or at best, practicing executive medicine.
+ 3 years in sg... that might have counted against him.

4.5 years in Singapore at the time of rejection. Left clinical medicine 15 years ago and have been part of pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry since.

Don't sound so shocked. Where did you indicate your gender? Most of our queries are usually based around the NS issue. I think you may have a problem...
