Due to family circumstances i am planning to move from sydney to Singapore.
I need some advise.
Regarding EP , i am gonna ask my Company for Internal Transfer from Sydney to Singapore. I work for Oracle Corp. Does Company name carry weightage when applying for EP.
I am graduate in Computers from India with 7 Years Experience.
I work in Support.
What would be normal salary for a engineer with 7 Yr Experience ?.
My wife is pregnant , how are the medical Facilities. How is Public healthcare system , is it good ?.
IS it is easy to get P1/P2 status if i have 4000 Dollars .

Welcome to singapore!
Company name does not matter as much as your academic qualifications.
It is quite easy for you to apply for a singapore PR if you are a univeristy graduate. If you have a job offer, I think it will be quite hassle-free.
I am not quite sure about the salary here but my cousin has about 10 year experience in engineering and he earns about $10 000 a month. Tax rate here is extremely low so take that into account when comparing with sydney.
Health care here is as good as it gets but user pays. It is highly subsidised by government but expect to pay about $3000 to have a baby in a top private hospital. Check up on medishield and other govt schemes...I don't know much about them. I think you can use it to pay for medical expenses.
If you are of indian origin, you would be pleased to know that up to 10% of us are indians. Little india in serangoon has lots of good food and merchandise you'd love. Much more selection than any chop in sydney.

Thank you Singaporean, your comments have really helped me in terms of getting a Positive and better feel.
Yep as you have mentioned, one thing that is very attractive in singapore is the Tax Rate.
Good to know you comments about Singapore Healthcare.
