LTVP for de facto partnes - complicated!

- MOM in Singapore: They said that the certificate is enough. We highlighted three times that we are NOT Australian citizens and that our certificate is Australian, but they said that's all we need. They even checked my partner's passport number (I don't know why), and said yes again.

This is the wording on their web page which you also quoted above so with this additional confirmation I hope you will manage without a major sweat. Good luck (just in case).

I recently went through a similar process but ultimately decided to get married, which I understand is not going to happen yet to you. That said, I got an LTVP after just getting married, so it is possible. They asked if it was my first marriage and whether I was getting paid for it (mine were 1st and no). And I'm very happy; despite the feeling that a visa is involved, it was time for me to do it or reconsider.

I have a friend from the US who allegedly did the common law marriage route and it worked, but he got married shortly thereafter and his wife was pregnant when applying for LTVP, which is a question on the application. If you can get it work that way, and it sounds like you are on your way, then good to know. Either way, best of luck because Singapore is a great place

Hi all, just let you know that we received approvation for EP and LTVP
We added last minute a declaration notarised by a notary public here in Australia.

Hopefully this thread will be helpful to someone else in the same situation!
