Hi,
I will be relocating to Singapore in May for at least a 2 year contract. I don't know anything about the housing options in Singapore and have heard there are some real estate agents that try to rip off expats by pricing super high so i'm hoping you good people can help.
I like high rise apartments/penthouses that have a minimalistic modern interior. I am single, no kids, so a 2 bdrm would be fine for me. I would prefer to have as much open floor space as possible. So a 2 bedroom with more space versus a 3 bedroom that feels more cramped is better for me. My office is off of Scotts RD so something nearby would be good but not necessary. I am looking for a place that has a good gym inside the building. I am also looking for furnished/semi-furnished apartments. Being close to a grocery store would be awesome as i like to cook however i do know some grocery stores do deliver...
Budget: $5,000 - $8,000 SGD
Thanks!

You are in a relatively unusual situation that you are (IMO) spoiled for choice; and that alone makes it hard to know where to begin!
Perhaps as a starting point, did you use the FAQ/template? If not check it and see if any other parameters apply, as if so this will help narrow the focus.

Agreed, aside from recommending new
condos within a km radius of your office, there is little that we can do without a little more information!! Scotts road/orchard area are buzzing and there's plenty of lovely
condos around that area for your price range. But, do you want the hassle of being centrally based?
