Yep. But piece of mind for a couple years anyway. I would have hated to wait till the 2nd of January and then gotten a rejection! Would have been a crappy start to the new year!

Wanted to update this thread. My wife got approved for Singapore citizenship in May 2016 (applied in Sept 2015) and I for PR last month (applied in Feb 2016 under family ties while her citizenship application was still in process). All details per the original post last Oct.

Many thanks for all the advice, insight and perspectives!
