Changing jobs with work permit
Would my current employer find out about the application for a S pass by my prospective employer? I have not resigned yet. My prospective employer suggested me to only resign upon IPA. Thanks for helping!

Yes, there is always that possibility. I have my HR Exec check our foreign staff once or twice a month (depending on how busy we are) to see if any of them have pending or approved IPAs with the MOM. We cannot see with whom the application is with, but we can see if the employee is actively pursuing alternative employment. This is always a danger to the employee as he may or may not get the IPA but the current employer already knows the employee is actively looking for another job. First sign of recession or the necessity to reduce staff, for whatever reason, we know who to ditch first as we know they will leave at the first opportunity.
