There is no such thing as minimum salary, unless you are of the specific groups whose continued presence is being limited by ICA
I know work pass holders getting PR even recently, and tell me, how did they do it ?

Salary is not a concern only if you are Malay Chinese. Period. Do you want to mention PRC and Indian workers earning 2K got PR? No Kidding !! hahahahaha. I don't think the 3K down non Malay Chinese applications may even accepted for Citizenship in first place(unless otherwise you are a secret ICA officer undercover answering the forum).

And there is the reason you were rejected. Has nothing to do with salary in your case. (and rockstar_sg is totally off base here) I've not seen a single successful application for PR since the 2011 GE for anybody who was offered PR while still a student if they rejected or turned it down while they were in school. Singapore doesn't like to be snubbed and is like a petulant child when they are snubbed. They flag your FIN number and remember and are spiteful about it if you try to apply later on. In fact, we have had instances on here where some of the cohort took up the PR when offered and are still working, but some others of the same cohort turned it down at the time but several years later have applied (same degrees, similar salaries, etc.) and have been rejected/appealed/rejected again.

I think you should put away your imaginary thinking cap.
I am not from ICA, and you should stop making up stories.
Quote me the source where there is a minimum salary for PR ? If there is a minimum salary, why wouldn't ICA publish it, to reduce time wasters ?
Too many earning below 2,000 have got PR.

Eh? I am a bit confused. OP says he's been a PR for 5 years. He also says that he was invited to become a PR when he was 14. I can work out that his age currently is 25.
So...OP, you were invited for PR at 14 and took it up then? or did you reject the invitation for PR and then became PR when you were 20?

Some replies seem to imagine he's talking about applying for PR, and how that might fly. Others refer to his OP which per the subject-header is re: citizenship.
Hence some crossed-wires, mostly due to the disconnect between these two camps...

Nah, I got sidetracked by some of the other posts and didn't go back and reread the entire thread. Hoist by me own petard, methinks.
Having said that, I still think it's too early to apply for SC with only a 6 months of work history. I think I'd give it 2 years first.

The problem with you : ecureilx and the great admin : sundaymorningstaple is that you both talk as like you know more than ICA and I am following up your replies across the forums where your answer never stick with one truth. You guys(or girls !?). My best advise to you both : Let the other actual users reply the forum posters with freedom(otherwise this site will loose the users, which I think already happening) . Don't jump on as like you are the Singapore version of FBI agents. You guys really never know the multi culture of neither Singapore nor Malaysia.
