Please advice: broadband bill after company strike-off

Post by myjjlim » Fri, 23 Oct 2015 7:06 pm

Hi, I've set-up a Pte Ltd, i'm the only director and already strike-off the company after a few months with no business. But, the issue is I have sign-up 24 months business broadband with a company, and also made a few subscription payment.

My question is since my company is no longer exist, can I stop to pay the broadband subscription? What action the broadband company will take to against me or the company?

Thank you in advance for anyone who can help.

best regards,
JJ

Technically, you could not strike off the company with outstanding debts unless your creditors agreed to forgive the debt. Did you correctly and legally publish your intent to wind down your company so that your broadband supplier knew about it? If not, you are in violation of the law and the broadband company could pursue you for payment.

Do the right thing... negotiate a payment and make it. You signed the contract. Don't be a weasel.
