... well, at least for a while. And as I'm from London (albeit via Scotland) where it's customary to ignore your neighbours for as long as possible, I can see that's not going to get me very far in Singapore.
So, I just wanted to say hi! I don't know how alive this board currently is, or if there's a spot on the forum where regular meet-ups are arranged, but it would be great to meet some new people who are more clued up on/ equally as bemused by Singapore (delete as appropriate).
I'm an early-30s M, working downtown, keen to meet some folks to swap stories with. I'm also still trying to find a good coffee shop (or bar, depening on to the time of day) to call my second home ... so, if anyone has any suggestions?
I'm also about to attempt a run this weekend - I miss my weekend Parkrun in London, but not looking forward to attempting the same thing in 35 degree heat. Provided I survive, anyone who wants to dare it on weekend would be very welcome as I could use a new running buddy.
Anyway, I hope this catches the eye of newcomers in a similar situation and we can get together and complain about the haze together! I mean, I enjoy the occasional BBQ, but this takes the biscuit ...
Say hi ...
