New EP Online Application

Post by Siv » Thu, 15 Oct 2015 11:50 am

Hi all,

Just wanted to ask anyone in here their experience of new EP application.

For applications made online (let's just assume that all docs are in order) what's the fastest time frame anyone in here has had theirs approved ?

I have done a renewal before but it was manually because of EP thru sponsorship. Now it's for a locally incorporated company so they're doing it online. Application was submitted yesterday.

Thanks for the inputs.

Cheers
Siv

Of course we're not counting the Jobs Bank/Fair Consideration Framework part of the end-to-end process if applicable. That step comes before EP submission, so you're past that step now if it was applicable.

BBCWatcher, when is the last time you applied for an employment pass for someone? I only ask, as your statement says you haven't applied in a while or at all. The system will not allow a submission if you haven't posted the relevant position (under 12K/mo) for the two weeks as the application will not let the employer apply if the question is answered no. If you answer yes it will be checked and if you lied on the employees application you will screw yourself as an employer.

You're not contradicting anything I wrote, SMS. You're agreeing with me and with the facts, so thank you. But there are other readers who try to benefit from information posted here, and a bit of elaboration is helpful when discussing these time scales.

Most here just get confused if the number who resort to PM'ing me is anything to go by. They usually do better with the KISS method.

Yup the Jobs Bank ad thingy exempted as the company is less than 25 employees.

Just to update...although I don't know how helpful this would be.

True enough, it took me 3 days to get a reply.....Pending input from vetting agencies expected outcome 2 months etc etc....I was stunned, as I had just renewed EP barely a month ago. And I had already tendered my resignation !

MOM told the 3rd part HR consultant who worked my application that vetting could take anywhere as fast 2-3weeks but usually around 5 weeks but rarely would it cross the 2 months they indicated in the status. They also added that it would depend also on how fast the vetting agencies from those countries come back to them, and said that if it was countries like Malaysia and the UK they usually get back pretty quickly. (I am a Malaysian and my education qualification is from the UK)

Yesterday my EP was approved.....about 13 days in total from date of application.

Cheers
Siv
