IPv6 and not able to change IP after connecting to VPN

Post by Wd40 » Sat, 10 Oct 2015 8:28 am

There was an update on my laptop and then after that I noticed that after I connected to VPN my IP was still not changing.

I when looked up for my IP it was the new IPv6 128 bit address. This is the 1st time I came across this address. Looks like my VPN cyberghost cannot change such IP addresses.

I resolved this by going to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
and then right click on internet connection and IPv6 option.

Now my IP address looks like the good old one and VPN works :)
