Short term visitors pass.

Post by Daveyjones » Fri, 02 Oct 2015 4:25 pm

So I entered Singapore about a month ago to visit my girlfriend and when I landed I wrote that I intended to stay for 30 days on my landing card. I received a 90 day stamp on my passport.

I and am now considering staying another month, I've been trying to get through to the immigration authority on the phone for days now to see if I need to inform them of this change but its constantly busy. I will go down to the office if I have to but my question is so simple I'd rather not wait in what I'm sure will be a monster of a line if I do not have to.

Basically I just need to know if they will hold what I wrote on my boarding card against me, or is the stamp the only thing to be concerned about? I could possibly extend my trip up to the maximum and I probably will want to return again in the future.

Any additional advice from people who have been in similar situations(significant other living in Singapore) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any assistance rendered.

You didn't lie. Your plans simply changed, and the entry permission you received provides enough flexibility. You have nothing to do except to enjoy your longer stay -- and still leave before your 90 days is up.
