Ex-expat - Can i quote my FIN number and apply for jobs in Singapore

Post by rsaraf » Sat, 19 Sep 2015 7:04 pm

Hi,

I was working in Singapore from Apr 2011 to Mar 2012 and holded an EP. I came back to my home country in Mar 2012. Now i want to find a job again in Singapore. I have below questions:

1. Can i quote my FIN number to apply for jobs?
2. Do Singapore employers prefer people who have previously worked in Singapore
3. I am in IT sector. What will be the best way to find a job back in Singapore?

1). Sure you can, but it will not make much difference if any.

2.) While Singapore employers want FTs at the moment Singapore doesn't, regardless if you worked here before or not. (Truth be know, they probably prefer those who don't know how Singapore works so can get them cheaper.)

3.) Pray. But as I'm agnostic, I don't think it will help too much.
