Advice needed (Sponsored PR for husband)
Hi all , hope you guys can advice me on my current situation ..
my husband (chinese , wp holder , drawing salary : 2.2k/mth, been in sg for 4years plus) and i got ROM last year december. We applied PR during 27may15, status up till now is still in pending .. During this period of time , we have actually bought a resale flat under the non-citizen spouse scheme . Not very sure if this move will bring up the chance of getting PR . Should i write an email to my current mp for help ? i'm a pure singaporean and drawing a salary of 2.6k .
appreciate for all help . thanks

A 'pure' Singaporean with your nic?
I don't think purchasing a property will make much difference but an email can't hurt.

Buying property here is of no use when trying to get PR. It looks like you are trying to buy PR in the eyes of the ICA Officers. What you need to do is figure out how to bring up your salary to around 4 K as that is about the absolute minimum you need as a sponsor for him as if he loses his job you are going to be hard pressed to be able to prove you can support him on 2.6K/mo. That will be your first hurdle.

SMS is right - it's your income levels that are the problem.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Congratulations! I am surprised, really. I guess race is getting to be more important than income levels. It always has been, but this is the biggest disparity I've seen thus far. This holds out home for a lot of others who have been desperately waiting for their incomes to raise to higher levels. Is your husband, by chance a university graduate and working on a WP? That may well explain it as employers here are known to take advantage of some 3rdd world foreigners that way.

nope... he actually didnt complete his spm . so we were very suprised that it was approved. my highest level was only diploma . we went to mp to seek for help . she also told us that our case is kind of difficult to get approved. she shared with us that ica usually looks at yur 3 points , income level, education level, years of marriage . so she helped us to write a letter to ask for a faster answer instead of keep pending .... then miracle happens

Frankly, your MP was correct. It is almost a miracle. Even more so considering his educational level. Christmas came early this year!
Again, Congratulations.

Again, Congratulations.
