It's not the EP you have to be worried about. It's your countrymen who have set you up for the scam that's going to do you in. It's going to be costly, I can almost guarantee. How much was their "processing fee" to get you a job in Singapore? It will cost you at least that much. I wouldn't worry too much about the IPA/EP as I feel that is going to be the least of your problems. Dealing with your own countrymen is going to be the biggest obstacle. There isn't any cost to you coming from the Singapore side, I will pretty much guarantee. You agent is the culprit.

Read again, EP will only be issued once you are here and got your finger print / medical - if applicable

Your agent could only have the AIP.

They can claim the cost of Processing fee etc, and expect about 500 $, or more if the agent is mad at you

Hi Guyz,

Today I collected my original Documents from the Employer(Suppose to be my future Employer). They have asked me to deposit around 450 S$ as an penalty. As per them they have invested that much for formality.

I asked them, about EP and all. They have provided me the IPA which was raised for me.

As of now I have not paid anything to them as I doubt on costing of IPA. For IPA its 70$, but I don't know about processing fee and all. So can it be around 450 S$ for IPA and other formality ? Should I pay them ?

I have my originals with Me and so If I'm not paying, will it hamper my next job in Singapore(in future) ?

If you are still in your home country, how could you collect your original Documents? Or are you collecting from an agent?

Should you pay them?

The agent invested time and effort to find you a job and time and effort to file the Ep

Of course you can say filing is no big deal..

If the agency has a penalty clause with the employer they may have to pay it as well

As for IPA, the employer has to withdraw it, minus which your future employment in Singapore will be a big mess
