My 2 cents ?menudown wrote:from what I know the FDW are trained to wash car during their holding period with the agency
if I wash the car myself can I even ask for their assistance?
If the FDW wants to help and nobody complains, why not ?
My job description at work doesn't include fixing the flush but I fixed it than wait for the plumber.. So what will MOM do ? That's tongue in cheek.
And very soon we may have the joke of who replaces the burnt bulb ? If a foreigner replaces it free of charge, he has deprived a local the opportunity to earn a living ..
I believe these clear rules are being implemented to ensure there is fewer cases of abuse or misuse of FDW, which is in line with what a few local NGOs are pressing MOM for.
And in Singapore the natives prefer the govt spell out each do and dont,
Barnsley, perfect solution !!! And the same car wash VP will, over coffee with his friends, curse the govt for not controlling foreign worker in take and then vote for PAP, come election time ...
