We are new to this forum and are hoping that some of you may be able to help.
Currently we are considering an opportunity to take a new role which would require us to relocate to Singapore, very exciting
The relocation package is pretty basic and would not include school fees etc.
We would be working near Changi and would likely look at residential living in the North East or East districts.
We have a young son, he is now 4 years and 6 months old. Here in the UK he has already been going to school (nursery) 08:45 until 11:15, 5 days a week since Easter, and in September he will go to Reception class 08:45 until 15:15, 5 days a week. He loves the interaction with other children and is developing really fast with the lessons.
We are really keen for him to continue this level of interaction and learning in Singapore.
Does anybody have any information regarding school ages in Singapore (it looks as though the starting age seems to be 6!!) and also any recommendations on either kindergarden or childcare (live in or out). International School fees look to be very high and not something we would like to have to pay if not necessary.
Really appreciate any help.
