After lurking and using this forum for data and to reassure me in regards to my EP, I wanted to give back for those searching in the future. I had a DUI almost 9 years ago (no accident involved), disclosed this on my application. MOM requested more information, the process took a few more weeks than normal but everything is approved. Advice to those applying in the future: Be honest, don't try to hide/lie.

Hi UMichgrad, thank you for posting this. Out out of curiosity what extra information did MOM ask for?
Thanks again

My advice to you is to disclose it. MOM requested information requesting details on the punishment and that all terms of punishment were satisfactorily met and closed. For you, I'd provide documentation showing that the conviction is spent. I was very upfront about this to my employer as they asked the same questions in the process. I feel I made a small mistake in my youth, it was a long time ago and I'm not about to show a bad reflection of character by trying to hide or mask it.

I went to my court and requested the information that I told you from them. They provided this to me and I sent them over. Your court or police station should have records.
