Can I open a bank account in Singapore?

Post by Teenoy » Sat, 22 Jan 2005 7:25 pm

Hi, I'm Thai and wanna open a bank account in Singapore. I don't work and study there. I just want to have an account for receiving fund transfer from oversea.

So, can I open an account in this case and how? If yes, which bank should I go

Thanks a lot in advance.

you can, but only if some PR or probably your boss gives his approve or something. it worked for me. i did an internship an my uncle who is actually not a PR but working since a long time in Singapore opened an account for me. When i got Post, like monthly account report, it was addressed to him AND me though ...
