I know it is easy to be cynical of the Singapore Inc. For the overseas Singaporean events I have been to, nobody really get hang up about it nor ask nor care that I am from a non-branded school or district. I believe that they are progressive enough to start getting away from such labels and stereotyping. Give them a chance :) .

Moving is a really monumental tasks as kids are now in High school, going college etc... I also hear from many that came back having a good background (Bs and MBA) working as taxi drivers. I really do not mind if I have no kids or unmarried etc... I will look up as advised

It's not just high-flyers, it's anyone who had the where-withal ('the guts') to leave and work abroad. They're precisely the kind of people SG wants to get back, people who can think, decide, and act for themselves.
Getting them back is Government policy no less, has been for c10 years now: http://www.contactsingapore.sg/
